The former NBA star was travelling in a private helicopter with eight other passengers including his 13-year old daughter Gianna. The helicopter went down in Calabasas, CA, on Sunday. It is reported that the crash took place “amid foggy conditions into a hillside near an intersection in area north of Malibu State Park”. Kobe Bryant died at the age of 41 with other eight passengers as there were no survivors.
Kobe was 18 times NBA All-star and won five NBA championships with Los Angeles Lakers. The star took retirement in 2016 and put the focus on his production Company Granity Studios. Kobe won. In 2018, he took home best animated short film at the Oscars for writing and narrating Dear Basketball, which was based on the letter he wrote to The Players’ Tribune announcing his retirement from basketball.
