MET GALA 2019: RED CARPET DRESSES

Met Gala is the biggest fundraising event it was founded by the publicist Eleanor Lambert. The purpose of the event was to encourage donations from New York’s high society. The event is a star stubbed affair. Famous names from the realms of fashion, film, music, and art come together with a single platform. The purpose is to raise money for the Met’s Costume Institute and celebrate the grand opening of its latest exhibition.

The event always has a theme, which is followed by every star who appears in the event. Previous themes included Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,  Manus x Machina, Punk: Chaos to Couture and China: Through the Looking Glass. This year’s exhibition theme was Camp: Notes On Fashion.
