Christmas is that part of the year when all the family members come together under one roof to enjoy the meal. This is the time of year when new memories are flourished and old ones are recalled.
“Christmas is the season of joy, of holiday greetings exchanged, of gift-giving, and of families united”

TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER:
When it comes to going for a traditional Christmas eve dinner it is different for different traditions. Some of the traditions involve roasted duck, goose, turkey or beef as their main course. The traditions of each country may differ but there are some dishes that I would highlight here which hold good nutritional value as well also serve as a good traditional Christmas eve dinner.

1- TURKEY WITH STUFFING:
Christmas dinner is incomplete without a roasted turkey. The star of the eve dinner can be easy to cook perfectly. There is a number of recipes to cook a turkey perfectly. Here are some of my picks for this year’s Christmas dinner.
- Roasted Turkey and Stuffing by Rachel Allen is one of my favorites for Christmas dinner. The recipe is published on the BBC network website.
- Stuffed Roasted Turkey with Truffle Butter by Gordon Ramsey is the show-stealer of the event, it is not only easy to make but also tastes delicious. The perfect dish to make your evening rememberable.
- Another deliciousness from Gordon Ramsey is this perfect Roasted Turkey with Lemon Parsley and Garlic.

2- MASHED POTATOES:
Mashed potatoes may seem a simple dish but it can elevate your meal or can completely ruin it. The mash is simple to make but retaining its creaminess and texture is the difficult thing to do. I always use a simple recipe for potato mash. The one which flavourful and easy to make at the same time. I usually make George’s fluffy garlic mashed potato.
3- VEGETABLES:
For vegetables, I simply sautee them in butter with salt, black pepper, and oregano.
4- GRAVY:
Gravy is the most tricky component for Christmas dinner as it brings tenderness and extra flavor to the turkey meat. For making gravy I follow these simple steps by Jamie Oliver which he mentioned in its video Fail-safe Gravy for Christmas Dinner.
5- CRANBERRY SAUCE:
For Cranberry Sauce, I prefer to make Orange scented Cranberry Sauce by Martha Stewart.
