BOOKS TO READ IN WINTER BREAK

Are you planning to hibernate yourself this winter break? Or planning to explore the country you are living in? Most of us are badly affected by the cold weather. The laziness and the gloomy winter nights take away all the zeal and enthusiasm present in us. When the weather falls to unbearable and all the day time business ceases to exist. This is the time of year when resuming your reading habit can be done. This winter break I have stacked up numbers of books to read. As per my opinion, this is the perfect time to read as another business tends to slow down for quite some time as a result of chilly weather. This time when the Polar Vertex strikes its ugly head upon us and we confided in our houses.

Books that help you grow and influence to live a better life are none the less than your best friend. Whether you are at home during winter break or planning a trip to your favorite place, taking a few hours out from your schedule to read a book worth all your time.

Here are my favorite books which I would recommend you to go read this year.

1-  THE FORTY RULES OF LOVE:

This book narrates two different stories parallel to each other. One of them is based on an ordinary unhappy housewife Ella with three children and an unfaithful husband and the other is on dervish Shams of Tabriz. The story of Rumi and Sham inspires Ella to step out of her unhealthy marriage. The book is not an easy read but surely worth your time.

2- THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERRARI:

The book is based on the journey of a famous lawyer who had a mental break down in the courtroom. He then left all his materialistic possesions heads towards Himalaya to find spirituality and peace.

3- TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD:

To Kill a Mocking Bird is the best seller of the 1960s. The story takes readers to the roots of human behavior.  That is to innocence and experience, kindness and cruelty, love and hatred, humor and pathos. All these emotions are very well confided in the book.

4- THE SUBTLE ART OF NOT GIVING A FUCK:

If you are looking for a purposeful book based on the topic self-help, trust me this is the best book you will ever read.

5- THE WINNER STANDS ALONE:

The Winner Stands Alone is of the best seller by Paulo Coehlo. The book is based on the growing rise of what the author calls The Superclass. It reflects the obsession of our culture with fame, glamour and celebrity.
